Modeling and Simulation Engineer

To support the development of advanced AI inference systems, the full-time remote Modeling and Simulation Engineer will build simulation infrastructure, develop analytical performance models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient modeling of workloads. Key Responsibilities Develop analytical models of inference workloads to evaluate performance metrics and identify bottlenecks Build and extend functional and timing models of hardware components, ensuring alignment with production software Collaborate with hardware and software architects to maintain consistency in simulator behavior and interfaces Required Qualifications Strong software engineering skills in C++ or Rust, with experience in building simulators or performance models Deep understanding of computer architecture, including processors and memory hierarchies Experience in designing models with goals for fidelity and execution speed Strong quantitative reasoning skills to translate workload behavior into models Ability to integrate complex software systems and maintain effective tools for engineering teams
