Our goal is to create an environment where innovation thrives, with office-based teams coming together four days a week to collaborate and thrive, together!Position SummaryFlynn Group is seeking a highly proactive, detail-oriented Compliance Operations Specialist (Legal and HR) to support the Compliance team. This highly cross-functional role is responsible for coordinating and executing compliance programs, supporting audits, investigations, and regulatory responses, and driving operational excellence across Legal, HR, Payroll, and Safety functions.This role is critical to ensuring compliant operations at scale across thousands of employees and locations nationwide with diverse regulatory requirements. You will help translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical, day-to-day solutions that protect the business, support our teams, and enable operational success.The ideal candidate has experience in compliance, legal operations, HR compliance, risk management, or other regulated environments (e.g., multi-unit operations, retail, restaurant, healthcare, or similar industries), and enjoys working in a fast-paced, execution-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities1. Compliance Audits & Agency SupportData gathering, document collection, and response coordinationAudit tracking and status reportingDrafting initial responses for Legal Department review2. Safety Compliance & OSHA SupportSupport OSHA investigations and workplace safety compliance efforts (no prior OSHA experience required; training will be provided), including:Fact gathering and document collectionDraft initial responses to OSHA inquiries, complaints, inspections, and agency requests for review by the Safety Manager and/or Legal DepartmentSupport development of safety-related policies, training materials, and compliance resources3. Legal Research & Policy SupportConduct research on federal, state, and local employment and workplace safety lawsSupport policy development, updates, implementation, and version control4. Compliance Operations & Program ManagementOwn project management for compliance initiatives, including planning, tracking, execution, and reportingMaintain and monitor compliance trackers, dashboards, and deadlines to support effective program managementCoordinate cross-functional stakeholders and drive execution and follow-through across multiple workstreams5. Meeting Planning & GovernanceLead coordination and execution of monthly and annual compliance meetingsDrive follow-through and accountability across teams6. Data Analysis & ReportingPrepare and analyze compliance reports, metrics, and dashboards for leadershipIdentify trends, recurring issues, areas of risk, and support the development of preventative and corrective strategiesDevelop, maintain, and optimize tracking tools and reporting systems, including Excel, Smartsheet, Workday, or similar platforms7. Lead or Support Special Projects and Cross Functional Initiatives as NeededQualificationsThis role is ideal for an early- to mid-career professional seeking to grow in compliance, legal operations, or HR compliance.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience2–5 years of experience in compliance, legal operations, HR compliance, risk management, or a regulatory environmentExperience supporting audits, investigations, agency responses, or compliance-related projectsStrong organizational and project management skillsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong proficiency in Excel and experience with data tracking, reporting, and analysisDemonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a love for learning and problem solvingPreferred QualificationsExperience with:Employment law and/or wage and hour complianceConducting workplace investigationsCompliance audits, regulatory inquiries, or agency responsesAbility to create effective visual presentations and materials for a broad audienceExperience using compliance, HRIS, case management, or project management systemsWhat Success Looks LikeHighly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesCurious and proactive in identifying risks, issues, and solutionsAble to translate complex legal, regulatory, and operational requirements into clear, actionable stepsEffective collaborator who builds relationships and drives results across cross-functional teamsWhy Work For Flynn?Flynn Group offers a variety of benefits and perks to encourage and empower our employees.
