Position Overview

This position involves working night shifts on a 2x12-hour schedule, specifically Saturday and Sunday nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with no on-call requirements. The role provides support in both X-ray and CT imaging for the Emergency Department (ED) and inpatients, with responsibilities including patient transport to and from the ED.

Key Responsibilities

Perform X-ray and CT imaging procedures for patients in the ED and inpatient settings.
Transport patients between the ED and imaging areas as needed.
Collaborate with off-site radiologists for imaging reviews and address any queries.
Utilize Epic - Radiant for radiology documentation and communication.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including radiation safety measures.

Qualifications

Required Certifications: ARRT R, ARRT CT, BLS, and a state Radiology license.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field is required.
At least 1 year of experience with the EPIC charting system.
Willingness to float to other units or campuses as needed, based on qualifications and documented competencies.

Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in performing abdominal, chest, and brain imaging with and without contrast.
Experience in handling various imaging procedures including lumbar, pelvis, and vascular studies.
Ability to prepare and administer contrast media safely.
Knowledge of patient isolation precautions and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.

Unit Details

This role is set in a primary stroke center, where imaging personnel play a crucial role in patient care by supporting interdisciplinary teams.

Additional Information

Orientation occurs weekly, and compliance modules will be required within specific timelines. Ongoing training and safety protocols will be upheld throughout employment.
