This is an opportunity to work on challenging power systems projects while developing expertise across a broad range of electrical engineering studies. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and field professionals and have the opportunity to engage directly with customers. The role offers exposure to low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems, complex power system analysis, and projects across a variety of industries. For engineers who enjoy both technical analysis and practical field applications, this position provides a strong mix of office-based engineering and occasional field work. Power Studies Engineer What You'll Do Provide electrical engineering design, analysis, and power system studies for domestic and international projects. Perform power factor analysis and correction, harmonic modeling and analysis, and grounding studies. Interact with customers to gather critical project information and review engineering plans. Occasionally support field activities under the direction of field services teams, including shutdown, startup, and maintenance projects. Collaborate with engineering and field teams to develop practical, reliable solutions for complex electrical systems. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience. Experience with short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, and power quality studies is preferred. Experience using power system modeling and analysis software such as SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EZPower, or similar platforms. Knowledge of low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems, including systems up to 500 kV. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability and confidence to communicate directly with customers and colleagues. Field experience with substations or switchgear is highly desirable. Willingness and availability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion is a plus. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a technically strong electrical engineer with a genuine interest in power systems. You enjoy analyzing complex electrical systems, communicating your findings clearly, and working collaboratively with both engineering and field teams.
