What Will You Do?

The Lead Cook is an important part of the daily kitchen operation. You'll help prepare meals, maintain an organized kitchen, and provide leadership and direction to inmates working in the kitchen.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead, direct, and assist inmates within the kitchen
• Lead and assist with daily meal preparation
• Prepare food and assist with baking and cooking
• Help with kitchen clean-up
• Read and follow company recipes
• Instruct and assist with kitchen tasks
• Help maintain a clean and productive work environment

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment
• Ability to read and follow company recipes
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Flexibility to work varying days and hours between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Ability to obtain clearance approval to enter the facility

Food service or kitchen experience is a plus, but don't worry if you're new to the field - we can train the right person!
