Job Title Physical Therapist Outpatient / Clinical Specialist Outpatient Location & Hours Covington, WA – Full‑time, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday. FTE 0.9. Job Overview Provide comprehensive physical therapy services in orthopedic, pre/post‑surgical, neurological, and health/wellness areas. Evaluate, plan, implement, and delegate patient care. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team across the Lifestyle Medicine program. Key Responsibilities Conduct patient evaluations, including functional status and health‑risk assessments. Develop and document individualized care plans with specific goals. Document and re‑evaluate patient progress; adjust treatment plans per standards of care. Deliver physical therapy interventions and optional telehealth visits. Educate patients on goal‑setting, functional skills, and lifestyle modification. Collaborate with the full care team and incorporate their data into plans. Supervise assistants, exercise specialists, and student volunteers; provide mentorship and training. Maintain current PT license, BLS certification, and required clinical certifications. Ensure compliance with professional ethics, state practice regulations, and billing/CPT standards. Participate in department improvement initiatives and program development. Qualifications & Certification Current Washington State Physical Therapy license or interim license in process. BLS certification, current within 90 days of hire. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (for the Clinical Specialist role), with advanced department‑approved certification. Strong interpersonal, communication, and prioritization skills. Professional appearance and ability to collaborate across diverse patient populations. Physical & Mental Demands Transfer patients weighing up to or exceeding 200 lb; lift up to 40 lb; stand, sit, crouch, bend, and walk for extended periods. Requires manual dexterity and operation of equipment such as ROM, ultrasound, or electrical stimulation units. Benefits & Other Information Competitive salary range: $94,894–$156,575/yr (DOE).
