CompensationHourly Pay: $19.00 + Monthly BonusA day in this roleYou clock in to a clean, organized shop, glance over the day’s appointments in our scheduling software, and open the first service order you created when the unit arrived. It’s a truck-mounted carpet cleaning system showing erratic pressure. You verify the concern, reference the manufacturer’s repair manual, and work through electrical and fuel checks using the proper testing equipment. By mid-morning, you’ve diagnosed the issue, documented needed parts, and presented a clear estimate to the customer by phone. After lunch, you shift to a portable carpet extractor and a hard-surface floor cleaning machine that need routine service. You coordinate the shop workload with fellow technicians, assist a teammate with an air scrubber electrical fault, and update a customer via email on their dehumidifier. Between jobs, you keep your bay tidy, tools maintained, and safety gear in place. Before the day ends, you order parts, align with vendors on lead times, and schedule the next round of repairs—always aiming to exceed quality and productivity goals. What you will maintain and repairSystems and components used in commercial cleaning, restoration, and surface-prep industries2, 3 & 4 cylinder gas engines and basic automotive-style subsystemsTruck-mounted carpet cleaning units and portable carpet extractorsHard surface floor cleaning machinesDuct cleaning and deodorizing equipmentDehumidifiers, air scrubbers, air movers, and HEPA vacuumsHow you’ll do itUse testing equipment, troubleshooting guides, and manufacturers’ repair manuals accurately and safelyEvaluate and communicate additional repair or service needsCreate service orders, bids, and professional estimates for customersSchedule and manage repair appointments within our softwareCommunicate clearly with customers in person, by phone, and via emailOrder parts, coordinate with vendors, and align repairs with store staffCoordinate workload with other technicians; assist teammates and take direction from supervisorsProperly use and maintain shop equipment and tools while keeping work areas clean, organized, and safeMeet or exceed service department quality and productivity targetsWhat you bringTwo or more years of experience preferred in one or more of the following: commercial cleaning/restoration equipment, small engine maintenance and repair, pressure washer service, or vehicle repair and maintenanceValid driver license and a clean driving record with no DUIs or careless/reckless driving on MVR within the past 3 yearsHigh school diploma or equivalentPersonal basic set of mechanic’s toolsStrong technical ability, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detailProven diagnostic and problem-solving skills with efficient, accurate resultsSafety-first mindset, including consistent use of safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPEAbility to focus and deliver quality work on scheduleAbility to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basisProfessional appearance and demeanor; solid written and verbal communication; basic computer skillsWillingness to work occasional overtimeBilingual English/Spanish is a bonusProficiencies that help you excelEquipment and parts counter sales supportElectrical systems and diagnostics (including heavy equipment concepts)Equipment diagnostics and troubleshootingEquipment repair and preventive maintenance #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
