What You'll Be Responsible For Strategic Leadership Lead and oversee all estimating and preconstruction efforts Develop estimating standards, systems, and best practices Work directly with executive leadership on project pursuit strategies Participating in business development and client presentations Supporting long-term company growth initiatives Preconstruction Management Lead conceptual estimating and budgeting efforts Develop detailed hard-bid and negotiated proposals Manage value engineering exercises Review plans, specifications, and constructability issues Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies Build, mentor, and lead estimating personnel Establish accountability and performance standards Create training and professional development programs Foster collaboration between estimating, project management, and field operations Analyze project profitability and risk Develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness and margin protection Review subcontractor and vendor proposals Maintain cost databases and historical pricing information Drive continuous improvement in estimating accuracy The Ideal Candidate You are not simply an estimator.
