Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Technologist/Sonographer for a 13-week contract requiring RVT or RVS certification and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• 8-hour day shift schedule
• 13-week contract length
• Rotating Saturday work with Sunday call required
• Required call rotation for holidays
• Float requirement to all 4 Northshore Hospitals plus 2 off-site locations (Skokie-ambulatory and Glenbrook-cardiovascular)
• On-call requirements: Monday-Friday 5:30PM-9:30PM, Saturday (site-dependent start) until 9:30PM, Sunday 7AM-9:30PM

Requirements

• Completion of a 2-year ultrasound program
• 2+ years of clinical experience highly preferred
• Licensed Vascular Tech, RVT or RVS required (license required if applicable)
• Active state license and active certifications required; pending licenses/certifications not accepted
• BLS certification from American Heart or American Red Cross only
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum of 1 completed travel assignment required
• Prior travel experience required
• Date of birth required for consideration
• 2 professional references required, including 1 from most recent travel assignment

Additional Information

• Must agree to on-call requirements and be within the call radius
• Must pass a Relias EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• On Day 1 of orientation, an on-site EKG test (pass/fail) is required; a study book will be provided in advance and failure may result in contract termination
• Must work at least 1-2 holidays during the contract
• Maximum RTO of 7 days for 13-week contracts
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Returning permanent/per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate within a 50-mile radius
• Hospital conducts a brief interview, approximately 10-15 minutes
