About the Position

Job Title: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the cardiovascular specialty License: Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required Certifications: Must obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or graduate from an accredited Allied Health Program Description: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals who perform diagnostic examinations during invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures. They operate under the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist. Through subjective data collection and recording, the technologist obtains information from which a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis may be established for each patient. The call commitment is 1 weeknight and 1 weekend a month. Candidates with pending state licenses may be considered.
