Shift Details

This position offers a night shift schedule consisting of 3 shifts, each lasting 12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Candidates must have all start date, availability, and scheduling information confirmed upon submission, as changes cannot be made afterward.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional with a focus on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing. The applicant must possess a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license at the time of submission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification is required to be obtained before the start date.
• A recent reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applied for is preferred. Charge RN references are acceptable.
• Must complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment during orientation with acceptable scores required.
• All required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of application.

Additional Requirements

• Must have experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.
• References should be from assignments worked within the last 12 months. Co-worker references will not be accepted.

Compliance and Health Guidelines

Candidates must comply with health guidelines regarding COVID-19 and flu vaccinations, with exemptions allowed only for medical or religious reasons. A nicotine-free drug screen, including a 10-panel screening with nicotine testing, is required for most applicants, while nurses and CSTs are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free requirements.

Additional Information

Candidates are required to complete fingerprinting (BCI/FBI) within 48 hours of signing a contract. Annual hands-on competency requirements are mandatory for nurses who remain on continuous contracts for one year.

Modules related to nursing education will be completed pre-start and annually, with time allocated varying by specialty. Modules that require additional time for completion beyond the billable hours will not be compensated.
