About this role Employer: a client in the healthcare industry Work mode: On-site Location: NC Compensation: $220K-$250K Job Description The Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to individuals and families across all age groups. The physician diagnoses and treats acute and chronic illnesses, delivers preventive healthcare, and coordinates ongoing treatment to support long-term patient wellness. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, consultations, and health assessments. Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and common medical conditions. Provide preventive care, vaccinations, screenings, and wellness counseling. Develop treatment plans and manage medications and follow-up care. Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies. Refer patients to specialists and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation. Educate patients on disease prevention, nutrition, and lifestyle management. Follow applicable North Carolina medical practice regulations and clinical standards. Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency. Active North Carolina medical license or eligibility to obtain one. Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, depending on employer requirements. Strong diagnostic, communication, and patient-management skills.
