Pharmacy TechnicianThe Pharmacy Division is dedicated to ensuring safe, effective, and cost-conscious medication use while collaborating with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal drug therapy outcomes. Embracing change and discovery, it leverages new technologies, maximizes resources, and fosters a culture of caring to continuously enhance the quality of pharmaceutical services.The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and a certified pharmacy technician with at least two years of pharmacy technician experience. They demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care in an ambulatory oncology setting. While hospital pharmacy experience (six months or more) is preferred, the candidate should excel in accuracy, communication, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.Working hours: This will be a dayshift with no weekends and no holidays.Job Specific CompetenciesSterile Compounding/PreparationInventory ManagementDaily Operational DutiesEducationRequired: High School Diploma or EquivalentPreferred: Certificate from an accredited Pharmacy technician training program.Preferred: Two years of college credit.Work ExperienceRequired: 2 years Pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, infusion center or retail pharmacy.Licenses and CertificationsRequired: PHTR - Reg Pharmacy Technician Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP). Upon HirePreferred: CPHT - Certified Pharmacy Technician Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Upon HirePreferred: Current Intravenous Medication Certification (IV-Sterle Products) approved by the Accreditation Counsel for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
