Former Mechanics Wanted

We are hiring an experienced automotive or truck mechanic to provide technical support to dealership mechanics over the phone. This role is ideal for a former mechanic who wants to move out of the shop but still use their repair knowledge every day.

Responsibilities

Answer calls from dealership mechanics and service technicians.
Provide step-by-step repair and diagnostic guidance over the phone.
Help troubleshoot automotive or truck mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues.
Review repair manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and technical information.
Document calls, recommendations, and repair solutions.
Escalate complex issues when needed.

Requirements

Previous experience as an automotive, diesel, truck, or dealership mechanic.
Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures.
Ability to explain technical instructions clearly over the phone.
Good computer, documentation, and communication skills.
ASE certification or dealership experience preferred.

Ideal Candidate

A former mechanic, diesel technician, shop foreman, or dealership technician who wants a cleaner, less physical role while still helping other mechanics fix vehicles.
