As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coverage in Auburn, WA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule Friday 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or potential policy violations. Monitor access points and high‑traffic areas to help deter unauthorized entry, theft‑related activity, and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence. Support retail operations by assisting with crowd management, queue monitoring, closing procedures, and/or other security‑related duties based on the needs of the location. Minimum Requirements Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
