At Xylem, you will have the opportunity to solve water by participating in our paid Volunteer Program, !**THE ROLE**: The **Outside Sales Territory Manager** will be responsible for selling **Smith-Blair’s products to distributers and end users within a territory that includes Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, The Florida Panhandle and Western Tennessee.** Successful candidate will be required to live somewhere within the assigned territory. The Territory Manager will generate and develop new channel partners while maintaining healthy relationships with current partners.**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:** To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.* ## Responsible for new accounts development and/or expanding existing accounts within the distribution or retail sales channel.* ## Responsible for creating an awareness and demand for company products.* ## Must have a thorough knowledge of clamp and coupling products and their associated applications.* ## Must have the ability to plan sales effort to thoroughly cover assigned geographic territory and penetrate available markets.* ## Manages sales efforts to improve profitability.* ## Direct sales efforts to have Smith-Blair product features specified by end user customers.* ## Develop and manage territory sales AOP and expense AOP.* ## Solve sales and product problems/issues in assigned territory.* ## Improve and maintain customer relation s with all major accounts and distributors within territory.* ## Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.* ## Other ad-hoc duties and analyses as needed.## ## **QUALIFICATIONS:*** ## Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in sales* ## Minimum 3+ years Outside Sales experience.* ## **Knowledge of hydraulic, water flow, water, wastewater is a plus.*** ## Proven presentation and communication skills including face-to-face interaction.* ## Must have strong math skills.* ## Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power/Point), Oracle based system experience desired.* ## Must have effective interpersonal skills with customers, employees, and management team.* ## Previous experience in the use of **Salesforce.com or other CRM’s is required.*** ## Ability to present product education seminars to groups of 20-40 people is a must.* ## **Ability to meet and continuously maintain authorization to operate a company vehicle**.* ## **Travel requirement at 60%**## **SALARY & BENEFITS**The estimated salary range for the position is $80,000 - $100,000 plus bonus. Starting salary is dependent on multiple factors including skills, experience and work location.
