Test Technician

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc

Test Technician position at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Tewksbury facility supporting the Compliance Test Solutions business unit. Responsibilities include system testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and quality assurance of ESD test equipment and components.

Responsibilities

Perform system power-up, calibration, and functional testing with accurate documentation and report generation
Conduct troubleshooting of system and component-level issues during testing and calibration
Support testing, repair, and verification of printed circuit board assemblies for manufacturing and service
Assist with product assembly, inspection, quality verification, and RMA process diagnostics
Maintain organized records of testing, repairs, and calibration activities per company procedures

Requirements

High school diploma or GED minimum; associate degree in electrical engineering or electronics technology preferred
2-4 years electronics testing, manufacturing, or repair experience preferred
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
Familiarity with soldering and handling electronic components and PCBs
Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Comfortable using computers for documentation and reporting
