Certified Nursing Assistant I

What We Offer Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Assisted Living units only: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living as scheduled and reporting any change in status to the Charge Nurse. Shift / Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), including every other weekend. [Days] What You'll Do Patient Care: Provide compassionate assistance with daily activities, mobility, transfers, positioning, nutrition, hydration, and toileting. Clinical Support: Obtain and document vital signs, blood glucose, intake/output, specimens, and other patient observations. Perform approved clinical skills within scope and competency. Patient Safety: Monitor patient condition, report changes or concerns to the nursing team, and follow infection prevention and safety standards. Admissions & Transitions: Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, transportation, and patient orientation. Teamwork & Environment: Maintain a clean and organized care environment, restock supplies, and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality patient-centered care. What We're Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience: One year preferred. One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required. Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required. Medication Safety - AME, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
