Financial Management Program Internship

Responsibilities Provide accounting, business systems, and financial reporting support to scientists, engineers, and organizations across the Laboratory. Use the Web‑based enterprise reporting platform (Workday) to monitor expenses and revenues. Use Microsoft Excel to conduct real‑world cost analysis and financial reconciliation. Work with financial professionals to collect information and resolve financial issues across the laboratory. Assist in collecting and developing process documentation using standard work‑instruction templates created in Microsoft Word. Assist with collecting audit support, tracking communications and transition to paperless record retention. Work within a team that fosters transparency and collaboration. Education and Experience Requirements U.S. citizen. Currently enrolled full‑time at an accredited institution and have completed at least one semester of schooling by the start of the program. 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins. Must pass a screening drug test if accepting an offer. Major in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Data Analysis. Completed two years of undergraduate academics in a business program and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Submission of required background check and, if applicable, acquisition of a government access authorization. Qualifications A desire to participate in a dynamic work environment with competing deadlines. Highly motivated, self‑starting, and seeking a future career in a business profession. Desire to learn about business disciplines of accounting, business administration, economics, finance, management information systems, etc. Ability to negotiate between large‑scale project goals and individual work assignments. Ability to assist in difficult situations and keep composure and confidence. Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel). Great aptitude for math and processing logic. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Job Details Graduate Student Employment, Undergraduate Student Employment – Professional Career Internship – Sophomore Worker. Full‑time, 40 scheduled weekly hours. Hourly pay range $18.08 – $39.17 (pay determined based on scope and responsibilities, qualifications, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay).
