Civil Litigation Legal Assistant- URGENT!

Job Description

Prominent Plaintiffs' Medical Malpractice law firm has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant with 3+ years of Plaintiff-side Litigation experience to join their team. This is a full-time, in-office position in Southfield, Michigan.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of plaintiff-side litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice and/or personal injury.

Responsibilities :

Preparation of legal pleadings.
Filing of documents with all courts.
Effectuating service of process.
Day to day support of attorneys.
Review and docketing of daily mail.
Managing attorney calendaring, including scheduling of attorney conferences, depositions, meetings.
Answering of Firm telephone calls.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant for Plaintiff-side Medical Malpractice/Personal Injury Attorneys.
Prior experience e-filing in state and federal courts.
Familiarity with legal terminology and relevant court rules and procedures.
Immense attention to detail.
Disciplined with ability to work independently.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel and Word. Needles or Neos is a plus!
Strong organization and analytical skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload effectively.
Professional demeanor and customer service skills.
Understanding of the importance of maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in the legal profession.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting attorneys and other colleagues.
