Position SummaryThe Lead Industrial Painter is responsible for overseeing daily department operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to customer specifications. This role combines hands on painting responsibilities with team leadership, documentation management, and inventory control. ResponsibilitiesLead, train, and motivate a team of 1-5 employeesCoordinate and prioritize daily department activities to meet production schedulesPerform and oversee industrial painting processes and finishing operationsMaintain accurate production records, work orders, and quality documentationEnsure strict compliance with customer, commercial, and aerospace specificationsMonitor and maintain paint materials, supplies, and inventory levelsConduct inventory counts and coordinate replenishment of department consumablesInspect finished products for quality and adherence to standardsPromote and enforce safe work practices and housekeeping standardsCollaborate with production, quality, and project teams to ensure on-time deliveryQualificationsMinimum 3-5 years of industrial painting experience, preferable in manufacturing environmentsPrevious leadership experience supervising teams of 1-5 employeesStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent attention to detail and documentation accuracyExperience with inventory control and material managementAbility to read and interpret work instructions, specifications, and technical documentationStrong communication and problem-solving skillsForklift and overhead crane experience is a plusExperience in commercial, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environments is preferredWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is:A self-starter who leads by exampleHighly organized and detailed-orientedCommitted to quality and continuous improvementAble to balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilities Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented Join WB Industries and become part of a company that values craftsmanship, teamwork, and excellence in manufacturing for the commercial and aerospace industries.
