Job Title: IMCU/Step Down RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid State License, Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI*, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience preferred Trauma Level II Experience required Community Client Experience preferred Description: 1st timers welcome for IMCU/Step Down RN positions. Position will float between units. Weekends required - 6 shifts per schedule period. Expected patient ratios are 1:4. Special requirements include knowledge of cardiac drips, post cath lab procedural care, and trach/vent care. 48 hours of guaranteed work are approved. The facility is a Short Term Acute Care facility with a total of 379 staffed beds. Interdisciplinary support is provided by IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and others. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with a daily census of approximately 30. Common patient diagnoses include Afib/RVR, NSTEMI, ARF, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, and closed fractures. Special procedures performed in the unit may include TAVR, Watchman, angiograms, and heart catheterizations. Candidates may be expected to float between sister facilities. This position requires flexibility in scheduling.
