Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

Opportunity: Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Details: Full-time position working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week 26-week contract duration Call rotation of 1 in 4 weekends, Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM, with rounding only (no elective cases), typically 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM Part-time consideration requires a minimum of 2 weeks per month Estimated 20 patients seen per shift depending on volume Procedures required include endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH), surgical closure, and vascular cases Support staff includes 2 MDs and 3 APPs in CT Surgery, and 2 MDs and 3 APPs in Vascular Surgery Minimum 5-6 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery required Demonstrated proficiency in vein harvesting techniques and surgical closure required Availability to cover nights and weekends on a rotational basis required Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, active PA license, DEA, and Board Certified Physician Assistant Licensure candidates will be considered Facility: This facility is a dedicated cardiovascular institute providing specialized cardiac and vascular surgical services to the region.
