Driver for MyRIDE Senior transportation
Volunteer Center of Racine County Inc
MyRIDE is a FREE senior transportation project of the Volunteer Center of Racine County, Inc. While this is a complimentary service, donations are greatly appreciated. Volunteer drivers made it possible for over 200 seniors to make their appointments over the past year.
MyRIDE volunteer drivers provide transportation in their personal vehicles, giving Riders a feeling of independence. The service is curbed to the curb and accommodates Riders who may need a walker. Unfortunately, people who require a wheelchair are not eligible for our program. other appointments. Volunteer Drivers set their own hours each week. They tell our program coordinators when you would like to drive, and then you receive the details for a rider’s appointment.
You will make a significant difference in someone’s life and yours! You will receive mileage reimbursement of $.585/mile, plus you will be eligible for supplemental volunteer insurance.
Jenni Chap, MyRIDE Senior Transportation Coordinator, currently has over twenty volunteers serving over 200 clients annually.
