9 ED Rooms, 2 Inpatient Hold Rooms, 1 CT Room, 1 X-ray Room
Unit Information:
Beds: 1 CT Room, 1 X-ray Room
Census? Average patients/day? TBD - This is a new facility. Planning for 1 patient every 30 minutes from 0700-1900.
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of CT experience; send for manager approval if it has been some time since candidate has done x-ray
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, as long as they re comfortable working independently
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Peds-geriatrics
Will have walk-in ED patients (not accepting ambulances at this time)
Will also see some scheduled outpatient scans for CT and X-ray as well as walk-ins and from the ER
Extremities, spine, abdomen, general CT and X-ray scans
No neuro or cardiac (except for stroke; will be transferred out quickly), no special procedures
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
BLS, ARRT-CT
No state license required for SD
Skills required:
Experience with above patient types. Must be comfortable performing CT and x-ray duties
Must be comfortable working independently as they will be solo CT/X-ray Tech
Support within the Department:
CT assistant 0700-1630
Supervisor for ED
Imaging Manager on site or available via phone
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
PACS: Sectra
Unit specific equipment: Siemens CT (Go Excite Software), X-ray is Care Stream for room and portable - preferred
Floating: If yes, where? None
Orientation (facility and unit):NEO
36-40 hours once on site
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
On call? No
Holiday Expectations: 50% of holidays in contract
Shift times: 0700-1930, 1900-0730
If position is posted for Variable Shift, would work at least 1 week at a time on a specific shift
Schedule cycle: Typically a few months advance
