This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate coding for medical records and billing, contributing directly to our commitment to quality healthcare. The position is based in Baton Rouge, LA and works closely with medical staff and reimbursement department in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding of services performed by the providers in a multi-specialty clinic setting. Responsibilities Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding for diagnoses and procedures. Assign appropriate codes using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS. Ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines related to medical coding. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures as needed. Assist in the management of medical billing processes and collections. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding practices, regulations, and technologies.
