Qualifications Masters or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field State licensure or eligibility for Michigan School Psychologist license Knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education processes Understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) models Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Prior experience in K-12 school settings preferred Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for students referred for evaluation Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services to students and staff Assist in the development and delivery of behavioral intervention plans, supporting positive school climate Participate in eligibility determination meetings and communicate findings to educators and families Serve as a resource regarding mental health, learning interventions, and referral procedures Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state regulations Enjoy the dynamic nature of contract work, which offers the opportunity to experience new settings and diverse school cultures.
