Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Pulmonary Hypertension and Critical Care Physician with an interest in Cardiovascular Critical Care to practice at Intermountain Medical Center, the premier academic medical center and flagship quaternary hospital for Intermountain Health.\n

\n This state-of-the-art facility houses 96 ICU beds across four specialized ICUs and is actively expanding. Intermountain Medical Center is ranked #1 in the United States for myocardial infarction survival and is a Three-Star STS Cardiac Surgery Hospital. The Intermountain Health Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease is nationally accredited through the PHA and offers comprehensive care for all forms of pulmonary hypertension, including BPA and PTE for CTEPH.\n

\n In this role, you will contribute to a growing cardiovascular ICU and pulmonary hypertension program, functioning as a key member of a multidisciplinary team, delivering advanced therapies to complex and critically ill patients.\n

\n In this role, you can expect: \n

\n

\n

\n
• Practice location: Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, Utah
\n
• Diverse clinical role incorporating pulmonary hypertension clinic, procedural time, and ICU coverage
\n
• \n

  \n 0.3 FTE Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic (approximately 548 hours annually ; averaging 1.5 clinic days per week )\n

\n
• \n

  \n 0.6 FTE Coronary ICU (CICU) coverage, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays (1,095 hours annually ; equivalent to approximately 9 ICU weeks per year , including 30-night shifts annually )\n

\n
• \n

  \n 0.1 FTE Right Heart Catheterization Procedural Time (182 hours annually ; averaging ½ day per week )\n

\n

\n

\n

\n The ideal candidate will have strong experience in pulmonary and critical care, with preferred expertise in pulmonary hypertension and cardiovascular critical care , and a demonstrated interest in caring for complex cardiovascular patient populations.\n

\n

\n Protected academic time may be available for candidates with appropriate academic experience.\n

\n

\n

  Competitive Compensation: $491,750.00 annual salary

\n
• \n

  Incentives: $30,000 starting bonus, and up to $20,000 relocation assistance and $75,000 student loan repayment (if applicable)

What you’ll bring:

\n

\n
• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
\n
• Residency training in Internal Medicine
\n
• Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
\n
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
\n
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
\n

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
