Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including physical examinations and thorough assessments of medical histories
• Assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical ailments by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results
• Collaborate intimately with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
• Offer crucial intraoperative support, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and assisting with the handoff of surgical instruments during operations
• Provide outstanding pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication administration, wound management, discharge preparations, and patient education

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations focusing on surgery highly preferred

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skill Set

• Extensive knowledge of surgical principles and sterile techniques
