Equipment Technician

Duration: 12 Months will be extended
Job Summary:

  • Provide support to equipment engineering staff for project execution and day-to-day operational needs. Works under the supervision of engineering staff but can execute simple projects independently.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate daily with engineering team members as well as union trades and operators to address equipment breakdowns.
  • Interacts with vendors and plant contacts to purchase equipment for repair related items.
  • Interpret high-level technical documentation including equipment layouts, SOPs, and mechanical schematics.
  • Execute simple equipment repair or improvement projects on a wide variety of plant equipment including pumps, grinders, CNCs, forming equipment, furnaces, and other general facility related equipment.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in mechanical, or related field.
  • Experience in lieu of education is an option for this position.
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical, hands-on experience
  • Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply across a wide range of applications.
  • High level of organization
  • US Citizenship required

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Solid works, or similar CAD software
  • Experience with MS Office, Project & SharePoint
