Registered Dietitian

Full time – 80hr/pay

Scheurer Health, a rural critical access hospital, is seeking a full time Registered Dietitian.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct patients, residents and their families on nutrition, dietary plans, food selection and preparation.
  • Work with community wellness department to promote wellness to the community and to employees by assisting with and offering classes to the public and staff for dietary needs and health.
  • Work closely with diabetes educator to provide diabetes education to our community.
  • Work closely with the Nutritional Services Department to communicate and ensure adequate nutrition for patients and residents in accordance with recommended federal, state, and organizational guidelines.
  • Participate in department discussions, in-service training, workshops, seminars, etc., or training sponsored by the organization.
  • Consult others at the request of the hospital and implement by the agreement of the RD.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned/required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and Dietetics
  • Completed a dietetic internship
  • Be a registered Dietitian through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
