This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work while focusing on the crucial mental health needs of our community members. As a therapist at Hill Crest, you will play an essential role in supporting clients on their journey to recovery, particularly those grappling with trauma-related challenges.

About the Organization\n

Hill Crest Counseling Services is a leading community health clinic located in San Jose, California, committed to providing high-quality mental health care. We pride ourselves on fostering a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment, where providers and patients work together toward healing and resilience.

Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing our therapists the comfort and flexibility to manage their professional responsibilities from their own homes. The remote setting does not compromise collaboration; rather, we leverage technology to maintain strong communication and ensure integration with our multidisciplinary team. Regular virtual team meetings and consultations enhance our collaborative efforts, allowing therapists to share insights and experiences that enrich our collective practice.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n

  • \n
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to promote informed recovery.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines, employing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
  • \n
  • Engage in case consultations, attend team meetings, and partake in continuing education opportunities to remain current with industry best practices.
  • \n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clientele at Hill Crest consists largely of individuals who have faced various forms of trauma, contributing to a multitude of mental health challenges. Patients may include survivors of abuse, accidents, natural disasters, and other traumatic events. Our focus is on creating an environment conducive to healing, where clients feel safe to share their stories and engage in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with particular emphasis on trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building strategies. Candidates with a background providing individual and group therapy to trauma survivors will find this role to be a perfect fit.
