Join to apply for the Project Manager role at IEM 1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants IEM is looking for a Full Time-Project Manager to join our Disaster Recovery team who will, among other important duties, be responsible for analyzing and reporting data to develop a complete and accurate picture that informs decisions regarding project management, quality, and control. Primary Location Live within a commutable distance to Guaynabo and San Juan, PR. Work will take place in an office environment with a team. Travel Requirements This position may require travel to complete work assignments or attend meetings. Travel and other expenses are reimbursable in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations or DoD regulations. Essential Functions Track and report the status, performance, and compliance of each subrecipient project. Identify, apply, and evaluate schedule, cost, quality, and risk control techniques to support the monitoring, managing, and reporting of project performance. Coordinate and lead all meetings with subrecipients and potential subrecipients to ensure alignment with program goals and federal requirements. Provide and/or manage daily technical assistance to the subrecipient, including guidance on federal grant compliance and documentation standards. Establish and maintain direct communication with subrecipient points of contact during application evaluation and project implementation. Review, provide comments, and recommend approval of subrecipient applications, draw requests, change orders, agreement amendments, budget revisions, and closeout documentation. Ensure all documentation complies with 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance), FEMA Public Assistance Program requirements, and HUD CDBG-DR/MIT regulations. Maintain audit-ready records and support internal control processes to ensure transparency and accountability. Review and recommend certifications for payment and construction change orders, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and scopes of work. Monitor financial performance and ensure expenditures are allowable, allocable, and reasonable under federal cost principles. Identify and mitigate risks through proactive monitoring and corrective action planning. Maintain open lines of communication with all relevant decision-makers and stakeholders to keep all parties informed of regulatory changes and project developments. Be available on-call and attend program status and progress meetings as needed. Minimum Qualifications Degree: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction, Project Management, or related field. Experience: Ten (10) years of Project Management experience in construction or engineering projects, preferably for power generation and/or renewable energy projects. Bilingual: Fluent English and Spanish in Verbal and Written forms. Live a commutable distance to Guaynabo and San Juan, PR with the ability to work in office. Management experience in construction or engineering projects, preferably for power generation and/or renewable energy projects. Demonstrated experience working with federal, state, and local government agencies in a previous role. Experience with complex stakeholder engagement processes, as demonstrated through work performed in a previous role. Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction, Project Management, or related field. Additional Information Office Locations: Often, these offices are either owned by the client we work with or by IEM.
