Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states. The role is based in Salem, MA at a hospital and requires competency in high complexity testing and blood bank procedures. Candidates will follow laboratory standard operating procedures and work independently after successful orientation and competency assessment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science required.
• Medical Technologist certification (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or HEW) required.
• One or more years of experience performing high complexity testing in a CLIA laboratory.
• Working knowledge and experience with laboratory information systems (LIS). Experience with EPIC is preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in blood bank testing and procedures required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a hospital laboratory environment with approximately 400 beds preferred.
• Demonstrated communication skills and prior competency with blood bank instrumentation preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 08:00 to 16:30.
• Work schedule: Monday through Friday with weekend and holiday rotation required.
• 40 hours per week; 8-hour shifts.
• May be required to float to other facilities as needed.
