Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board
• One year experience as an RRT
• BLS certification

• Experience operating invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment
• Experience with oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer devices
• Ability to perform oximetry and capnography monitoring
• Ability to perform 12-Lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition
• Ability to perform pulmonary function studies
• Ability to assist with respiratory-related procedures including bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, and chest tube placement
• Ability to perform tracheostomy care, including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes
• Ability to perform arterial puncture
• BLS and ACLS guidelines competency for cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Ability to perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes via free hand technique and/or video laryngoscope system
• Experience with mechanical ventilation equipment setup, self-testing, operation, maintenance, and monitoring
