Description:This role involves providing care in a vascular surgery setting.The physician assistant will assist in both the operating room and clinical procedures.The position requires first assist capabilities in general surgery and surgical sub-specialties.Documentation of training and competency is mandatory.A case log of surgical cases for the last 24 months must be provided.Assistance levels (first, second, or third) should be documented by the supervising surgeon.Specific documentation of training and competency for the NP privilege of "First Assist in Surgery" is also necessary.The physician assistant will work alongside an MD/DO; solo practice is not expected.Eligibility for both inpatient and outpatient settings is essential.Patients will primarily be in the vascular/endovascular demographic.Daily patient census averages between 15 to 20.The role involves rounding, admissions, and assisting with procedures.The physician assistant will be expected to cover 6 shifts per month, including call requirements.Weekend shifts may be required as part of the rotation.The physician assistant must report for handoff and rounding if shifts begin at 0700.Required procedures include first assisting in the operating room and clinic settings.All candidates must have relevant experience and provide appropriate documentation of their capabilities and recent clinical activities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
