Details Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a stepdown/telemetry patient population Patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a Weekend requirement of every other weekend No on-call requirements Floating required within scope to sister units/facilities as needed, with agency staff floated first Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active SC RN license or compact license must be in hand prior to start BLS and ACLS certification required; NIHSS preferred Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required Prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience preferred Epic EMR experience preferred Driver's license and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Provide stepdown-level nursing care including cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and rapid response coordination Skilled care may include IV therapy, central/PICC line management, ventilator and tracheostomy care, and post-cardiac procedure monitoring Royal blue scrub color required Holiday rotation required Block scheduling requests may be considered but are not guaranteed During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams First-time travelers may be accepted depending on the position Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application for consideration Local candidates are not accepted; radius rule of 60 miles applies with non-local candidates prioritized American Traveler Job ID P-749185.
