Air Export Specialist
Location: Proximity to Syosset, NY
Company/Industry: Well-established freight forwarder
Schedule: Mon-Fri 1st shift
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000/yr depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate
Type: Direct hire + benefits
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Close Air waybills timely to meet gateway and airline cutoffs.
- Print all Necessary Export Documents.
- Provide Warehouse with loading docs.
- Perform Export Clearance.
- Send Pre-advises to destination offices / agents.
- Communicates with customer service group for any requirements or exceptions found in freight documents or physical cargo receipt, report any discrepancies to avoid mishandling of goods.
- As a contingency to Customer Service, will contact customers with exceptions to advise shipment status or to obtain shipment information in a professional manner.
- Assists the day-to-day operations of the export department to ensure that customer requirements are met.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
3-5 years of related air export/international experience.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $65,000.00 - $70,000.00
