Shop & Yard Manager

The company values a family-oriented culture and takes pride in delivering superior results on every project. Advance Concrete is seeking a dedicated and organized Shop Foreman to join the team. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of the shop by ensuring equipment is well-maintained, organized, and ready for use.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and general repairs on small engines and construction equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with small tools and equipment, including tamps, trowel machines, and generators.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for repairs.
• Maintain an organized shop and laydown yard, including tracking tool and equipment check-outs and returns
• Clean and inspect equipment upon return to ensure readiness for future use.
• Collaborate closely with the shop manager, diesel mechanic, and operations personnel to support overall shop operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a shop or mechanic role.
• Experience with small engines on construction equipment is a plus.
• Proficient in maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of tools and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong organizational skills and a solid work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and stand for extended periods.
