Responsibilities

  • Support the Facility Maintenance Manager in the preventative, corrective, and general maintenance of HVAC systems and related equipment across the site.
  • Maintain and service HVAC equipment, including production chillers, boilers, building controls, and kitchen refrigeration systems.
  • Monitor and adjust the operation of refrigerant systems, heat exchangers, chilled water and air conditioning equipment, boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and filters to ensure optimal performance.

  • Complete preventative maintenance task sheets and other required documentation to accurately record work performed and equipment condition.
  • Return tools to the workshop and unused supplies to the storeroom after each job to maintain organization and readiness.

  • Apply a strong working knowledge of mechanical functions associated with HVAC systems and equipment to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Follow manufacturing standards and established change processes when working on qualified core equipment and components.
  • Work a second-shift schedule from Monday to Friday, including mandatory overtime on a weekend day approximately once per month, as required to support operations.

  • Capability to work second shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) Monday through Friday, with availability for mandatory overtime, including a weekend day approximately once per month.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience monitoring and adjusting refrigerant systems, heat exchangers, chilled water systems, and air conditioning equipment.
  • Experience in both mechanical and electrical aspects of HVAC and related building systems.
  • Experience in a commercial, industrial, or large-campus facilities environment.
