Maintenance Mechanic

Reports to: Facility Management Director Overview The Maintenance Worker will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, snow removal as needed, cleaned around the premises as needed. and other building systems. Responsibilities Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas Use large floor cleaning devices to buff or mop Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs Plans repair work using building’s blueprints or equipment manual as needed Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures, basic electrical and plumbing Perform routine maintenance and checks on building systems Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the facility Snow removal, salting, and general cleaning of the surrounding area Conduct audits and log books Keep clean and organized the maintenance shop Inventory and provide a list of supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2 years maintenance experience Knowledge of general carpentry and repair Ability to use hand tools and power tools Excellent organizational and time management skills Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
