Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
• Deliver nursing care to patients on a small hospital-based skilled Medical Surgical unit
• Utilize electronic medical records (Epic) to document and manage patient information accurately
• Safely operate mechanical lifts and administer IV antibiotics as required by patient care needs
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) state license required
• Minimum of 1 year of previous RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with mechanical lifts required
• Experience with IV antibiotics required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Valid driver's license required
• Taxable address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
• Experience working in a skilled or Medical Surgical hospital-based unit
