Shifts: 12 hr nights, weekends as scheduled


Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced RN specializing in CVICU for a travel assignment in Parkersburg, WV. This role involves working in a dynamic mixed acuity unit, catering to both step-down and ICU status patients. Candidates will be part of a comprehensive care team overseeing post-operative heart patients and other cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - CVICU - Travel

• Provide comprehensive care to patients with atrial fibrillation, heart blocks, and other cardiac conditions
• Manage patients post heart surgery including CABG and thoracic surgery
• Operate and manage ventilators and respiratory equipment
• Titrate medications like Cardizem, Cordarone, Nitroglycerin, and others
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and manage arterial lines
• Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing learning
• Adapt to potential charge nurse responsibilities during night shifts

Requirements of the RN - CVICU - Travel

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with >6 hr post op open heart patients and specific cardiac devices
• Proficiency in CRRT and temporary pacemakers
• Ventilator and Hypothermia Protocol experience
• Experience reading telemetry strips
• Prefer IABP/Impella experience
