Maintenance SupervisorThe Maintenance supervisor is responsible for planned maintenance pillar activities and provides leadership to his team supporting his team on a 24/7 basis. They should display servant leadership abilities that help empower mechanics and line team associates with higher performance levels and greater morale. This role requires 60% to 80% floor leadership time. Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for daily tactical execution of Daily Direction Setting priorities, coordination of mechanics, execution and follow up of planed work. In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for developing planned maintenance strategies that support safety, people engagement, quality, cost, reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.Responsibilities:Ensure the safety of our people and our products alwaysAttend and support all line meetings as part of the Daily Direction Setting (DDS) processWork with Production Leaders and OpEx Leaders in the development and execution of Plan for the Day and loss elimination activities.Communicate metrics for maintenance and reliability activities. Owns and drives improvement around planned and unplanned DT, qty of breakdowns, MTBF & MTTR metrics for their lines.Meet with each shift daily to review work completed and provide direction and follow upMaintain Maintenance schedules for owned lines and ensure adequate coverage in a consistent and equitable way that is consistent with the contract and state regulationsCreate daily assignments for mechanics on each shift the support planned maintenance and loss elimination initiatives. Focuses on engaging mechanics in proactive work that will improve line predictability/stability.Provides resourcing and support to line owned autonomous maintenance activitiesFollow up on safety, quality and major losses with root cause analysisSupport off shift critical work and emergency repairs where requiredIdentify gaps and roadblocks to successful execution of line maintenance plans and develop plans to close gapsMonitor metrics, develop plans, and propose solutions for improvementSupport Planned Maintenance Pillar System and Tools implementationSupport Systems and Equipment Ownership capability developmentSupport PM Software and gain knowledge of how to use it to improve PMs in the plant.Provide support and leadership to address repetitive problems to root cause, spend time on the floor to understand the problems and collect data.Provide strong leadership to properly drive the accomplishment of the Preventive Maintenance program for the packaging equipment.Responsible to track the Performance Efficiency (PE) for the plant and providing the support needed to proactively make changes when performance is not achieved.Ensure his team is fully staffed and reorganize the team when needed according to business needs.General Maintenance:Reviews work orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operationsCoordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing productsDirects maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operationsMonitors and helps to modify preventive maintenance program in conjunction with the plant maintenance manager and maintenance staffReviews with Maintenance Manager production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activitiesInspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and regulatory standardsRequisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operationsWork with Maintenance Manager on training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and proceduresSupport meetings with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipmentCoordinate team meetings to collectively develop a RC-PS to address repetitive problems.Consider having time flexibility for days, nights and weekends if needed when business KPI's are compromised due to equipment reliability issues.Provide supportive leadership to drive positive culture in regards of Safety, Quality and Productivity.Strong ability to communicate with the teams across the plant.Demonstrate positive Leadership and understanding about company policies and reinforcement and alignment with CBA policies and rules.Ensure the Equipment Interventions (Yellow card process) is followed 100% of the time to avoid micro risks.Demonstrate strong ability to develop and sustain multifunctional cross training to all hourly employees, including evaluations to identify skills opportunities and develop training plans.Preferred Candidate Qualifications:Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from 4 - year college or University is desired, preferably in Engineering5 - 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required is acceptableKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Understand TPM and continuous improvement methodsKnowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resourcesKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceKnowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structuresComputer literacy in programming and ladder logicKnowledge of OSHA, local, state, and federal health and safety regulationsHave the skills to communicate effectively in a technical manner with other White Wave Associates and White Wave Contacts. This may include Outside Vendors, Suppliers, Contractors, and Customers.
