PhD Academic Researcher for AI Model Evaluation

Role Overview

Apply research-grade expertise to evaluate and improve AI reasoning within your academic field. This remote contract role supports AI model development through rigorous analysis across technical disciplines, including STEM, and humanities fields such as English, literature, and journalism.

Key Responsibilities

Assess AI-generated responses in your field for factual accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning.
Create expert-level prompts, reference answers, and detailed critiques.
Use academic rigor to identify subtle errors, unsupported conclusions, and shallow reasoning.
Help establish expert performance standards for AI systems.

Qualifications

PhD from a top-ranked university in a technical field, English, literature, journalism, or a related discipline.
Strong research, academic writing, critical analysis, data analysis, technical writing, peer review, and research methodology skills.
Excellent written English and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
Based in an English-speaking country.

Work Terms

Remote, contract engagement.

Compensation

$245 to $280 per hour.
