Staff Accountant| Full Time | Palm Springs Plaza Theatre

$29 - $32 per hour

Overview

The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of the Plaza Theatre. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and supporting event-based financial reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and is highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.

This role pays an hourly rate of $29.00 - $32.00

This position will remain open until May 29, 2026.

Responsibilities

Process and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Post and reconcile journal entries.
Prepare event settlements and corresponding sales journals.
Perform analysis of accounting records.
Prepare detailed event profitability statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Provide financial reporting support to the Director of Finance as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel proficiency required).
Knowledge of NetSuite preferred.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Problem-solving mindset.
Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
