About the Position

Job Title: Behavioral Healthcare Provider 1 Profession: Behavioral Healthcare Provider Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 52 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: LSW or LPC with proper documentation Certifications: None specified Must-Have: Ability to perform mental health screenings and risk assessments Description: As a member of an interdisciplinary mental health treatment team, you will be responsible for assigned mental health interventions for a caseload of mentally ill offenders. You will complete screenings that include detailed mental health assessments and risk assessments, including suicide watch assessments, when within your scope of practice and allowable by your credentialing board and policy. You will conduct individual and group clinical interventions as prescribed on the individual mental health treatment plan using clinical intervention strategies within your scope of practice and directed by supervision. You will provide psychosocial group interventions as outlined in the mental health treatment plan. You will offer mental health liaison services to an assigned caseload, including monitoring the offender's progress with the mental health treatment plan goals. You will conduct psychosocial needs and treatment assessments as part of interdisciplinary treatment planning. You will complete transfer and discharge summaries. You will consult with other institution staff regarding the mental health caseload inmate’s institutional adjustment and service needs. You will initiate and maintain contact with families and community agencies. You will provide and seek information relevant to patient care and treatment. You will make appropriate community referrals as per the mental health treatment team. You will write reports and documentation, including electronic documentation of all inmate contacts, mental health liaison progress note entries, discharge plans, and miscellaneous forms and reports as needed, according to policy and protocol. You will attend meetings for social work or counselor supervision. You will participate in in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development. You will perform other duties as assigned.
