Job Description

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Remains privileged and actively practices within their specialty field.
• Maintains all required VA credentials, active medical licensure, continuing education, and board certification, as applicable.
• Provides compassionate, appropriate, and effective patient care focused on health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, and end-of-life care.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) services and applies current clinical and scientific knowledge to patient care and education.
• Uses scientific evidence and clinical methods to evaluate and continuously improve patient care.
• Understands and effectively utilizes healthcare systems and resources to optimize patient care.
• Performs research and administrative duties as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Completes consultations in a timely manner and ensures results are readily available to referring practitioners.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8:00am - 4:30pm (Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).
