Security Service Enablement/Systems Engineer

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: Long term contract

Skills:

• Hands-on knowledge of IaaS and PaaS platform from one or more Public Clouds such as AWS, GCP, AliCloud
• Strong competency with IAM policies such as Resource Policy, Service Control Policy, Permissions Boundary, and Identity Policy.
• Understanding of cloud networking concepts
• Basic coding skills (ex: Python)

Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow Apple service security review process
• Perform in-depth research on IaaS and PaaS services using cloud provider documentation
• Review public cloud services to identify potential methods of misuse which would violate Apple security requirements and document these gaps and security risks
• Implement security preventative and detective controls for cloud services to mitigate security risk using security control policies, org-level policies, and detection rules
• Identify and document product feature requests (PFR) for security gaps that cannot be mitigated through available controls
• Follow Apple's work management tools such as Quip, Jira to document and update ongoing progress
• Provide regular updates in Jira about ongoing progress to keep Apple team informed
• Follow Agile methodology and participate in sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint retro
