Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown
TLC
Registered Nurse Surgical Oncology
Rotating shifts or night shifts as per contract requirements.
16-week assignment, with a patient census capacity of 36 beds.
Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
At least 1 year of experience in a progressive care unit (PCU).
Acute care experience must be current within the last 12 months.
Valid RN license required.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; ONS Chemo certification preferred.
Experience with telemetry monitoring and management of various medical therapies.
Provide patient care for adults and geriatrics with surgical oncology diagnoses.
Administer medications and therapies, including chemotherapy and blood transfusions.
Monitor telemetry and recognize/manage dysrhythmias.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.
Perform tracheostomy and chest tube care as needed.
Educate patients and families on care plans and procedures.
Background checks and fingerprinting are required. One pre-approved time off request allowed with submission.
